A decent effort, although perhaps not as good as some of the other movies I've seen around the same subject. The characters don't get a lot of development, but the actors still manage to do quite a bit with the little they're given (especially Elane Zhong as Mei Yan, who has maybe 30 words of dialogue, but still manages to have a character arc).
