Synopsis
Day or night, it's a hot and wild summer at Malibu Beach. When the sun is high, it's Dina's job to patrol the area. Being the hot new lifeguard on duty isn't as easy as you'd think -- there's the older, muscle-bound beach idiot Dugan continually lusting after her, while jerk kids fake drowning just to get her to save them. And who can forget that pesky bikini-stealing dog?!?

This American juvenile puberty comedy is certainly not the greatest of the genre ever made, but it has the distinction of being kind of the mother of all comedies of this type. Made in 1978, it led to “gems” like Hardbodies, Weekend at Bernie’s, Miracle Beach an the like. So, you have to watch it with the knowledge that the others learned from it, but it still has its moments (for the kind of movie).
