A more intimate vision of the Brazilian activist Indianara Siqueira, than the one offered by "Your mother's comfort" (Adam Golub, 2020). We could say that compared to the more political documentary, "Indianara" focuses more on the person and her circumstances. But both offer a clear vision of the struggle for recognition against a hypocritical left-wing party and a dangerous right-wing party. Indianara is important because she represents the unrepresented, even in the LGBTQ+ community, acronym that include but at the same time are selective, always waiting for the last turn to speak, always claiming the value of street work. All this in the midst of the political turbulence caused by the coup against Dilma Roussef and the paved road to populism. It is a war, with victims (political opponents who are silenced with a shot) and with warriors, like Indianara.
