A card at the beginning says the filmmakers were granted exclusive access to one of the worst federal prisons in France, yet what they filmed is a series of generic images pieced together with no real story line. Thus, the documentary lacks a sense of direction and purpose, so it comes across as little more than _My Prison Scrapbook_.
