Honestly not a bad movie, worth a watch. That very very last scene was completely unnecessary, I'd even say to just skip it all together. What I found particularly disappointing was the missed opportunities, surrounding the whole concept of "borrowed time"/"future repercussions". I was honestly waiting for them to [spoiler] somehow kill the first kid, then ask for another [/spoiler] and the writers would tie that into why Kate had [spoiler] had two miscarriages ... and so basically the machine is a sort of "monkey's paw" that takes what you ask from it from elsewhere, just at another person's expense [/spoiler], I don't know maybe that's a little too complicated. Would have been really good though.

it's not a bad movie. The main idea is good and has good times. The end intrigues. But something was missing ...

A film that is neither entertaining nor thought-provoking. The twists are so contrived and obvious that the only surprising thing about them is that they are supposed to _be_ twists rather than the immediately apparent facts of the plot. Aside from a few moments of visual intrigue, _The Room_ has nothing to offer viewers.

Well, it's not the worst film with this title. There was no 'oh, hi Mark' to raise a chuckle. In fact, there wasn't much to lighten the mood at all in this film. It's a dark, sombre affair that could have been better, but probably could have been a lot worse.

The back story is quite generic but the whole idea can keep me entertained throughout the movie. Poor acting can be found at places. But it is still a good film, though
