Synopsis
Young Eva makes her decision to stay in Madrid for the month of August an act of faith. She needs to feel things differently and think of summer as a time of opportunity. On days of festivities and verbenas, while events and encounters take place, Eva will discover that she still has time, that an opportunity can still be given.

Summer chronicle in a warm Madrid where there are only tourists and locals who have nowhere else to go. Eva tries to become a stranger in her city. Religion is present, not as a cult but as an element of socialization. At 33, a perennial inhabitant, a swimsuit borrowed from a grandmother, a secondary character and a protagonist at the same time, a miracle connects with the need for emancipation.

_The August Virgin_ is like when your mom tells you you're going to be great one day and then you grow up to be normal. A chatty woman hangs out in a very quiet Madrid during the month of August and meets people and talks a lot and does many things except have a real ending.
