A packaged double-feature combining Death (True)²,  a recap of the original series, with The End of Evangelion, the film that serves as its real finale. If you’re new to Evangelion and want the “summary + closure” route, this might work. But if you’ve already watched the show, Death is completely inessential, a re-edited highlight reel with nothing new to offer.
That said, The End of Evangelion remains one of the most emotionally and artistically powerful works of animation ever made. This combined release doesn’t really add anything new, but it packages one of the most impactful endings in anime history.
Watch it if you need a shortcut or are revisiting the film. Otherwise, go straight to the series + EoE route.
