Synopsis
25-year-old Sibel lives with her father and sister in a secluded village in the mountains of Turkey’s Black Sea region. Sibel is a mute, but she communicates by using the ancestral whistled language of the area.

Fabulous film. From the beautiful little sister and the father who cares but also has his culture and traditions to contend with, to the ugly matchmaker crone straight out of a fairy tale, the performances are precise. Make sure you turn off the sound when the credits appear! (Why would they spoil a terrific portrayal of Turkish rural culture with rap?)
