Some heavy hitting talent wasted. Despite Juliet Mills, Jim Caviezel, or Matt DIllon, any of which should portend a decent outcome, this film is poorly written, lacked a cohesive direction (which would have guided and framed the composite cast), and failed to overcome it's shortcomings. Such a shame. On the up side, Ryan Potter and Rumi Osama were a pleasant discovery and gave us a believable characters and Hawaii never fails to be beautiful. Although there is a need (and I believe a market) for wholesome family entertainment, it has to rise above weak, sappy storytelling and should be produced with as much art and craft as the rest of the industry. I give this film a 4 (bad) out of 10. [Family, Romance]
