Good stuff. I had an enjoyable time watching 'Patiala House'. It mixes sports, drama and comedy to create a strong film. The acting talent do their jobs nicely, while the score and camera work is also done to a noteworthy level. Rishi Kapoor is excellent as Gurtej, bringing all the necessary attributes that's needed to play the stern and bossy character. Akshay Kumar is terrific in the lead role, giving a performance that makes you really care for Parghat. Dimple Kapadia (Mrs. Kahlon) and Anushka Sharma (Simran) are decent, also. As noted at the top, the film connects all the differing parts together well. Sure there are some moments where the humour feels forced, or the drama is overdone, but by and large it's very good. The film also could've been shorter, though that doesn't stop this from leaving positive impressions.
