I'm not crying, you're crying! Okay I'm crying. What a wonderful, heart warming film. Great performances and a beautiful story.

Easily the best movie I've seen for the year thus far. If I'd known this was so lovely I'd have watched it ages ago, at least twice! The story is absolutely beautiful and beautifully told, AND it has a happy ending... be still my heart!

After flipping through some of the reviews I am a little surprised that so many people treated this movie as if it was a breezy novel that one reads on the beach while on vacation. Sure, we've seen some of this before - a curmudgeon is placed in a situation where her dour outlook on life is challenged. The film does an amazing job at peeling back the layers of the woman's life. Too often these movies end up with a hallmark channel feel to them but I didn't get that here, probably because of the last act was delivered. Also, Gemma Arterton is nothing short of incredible in this movie as her character bore the weight of the ever-changing emotions.
