In a corrupt city, redemption is worth fighting for.
Set ahead of the 2012 London Olympics, the film follows Liam, an ex-con trying to win back the love and trust of his family. He has lost everything at the hands of a local crime syndicate run by Clifford Cullen, who has high-level connections in politics, finance and the police force. Liam's drive for redemption sees him caught up in a web of conspiracy, crime, and corruption.

Late to the game, but this a pretty good movie.
Eh. I mean it's alright but too much is going on so if you're not glued to the screen you'll be like wait why is this happening, and then if you are glued to the screen you'll just be like damn I should've watched something a little better than this.
It was really good up until the very end. If it's based on a true story, the basic gist is some aholes walked away without being charged. That doesn't really make for a great story since you absolutely hate all the criminals in the story, especially the shocker one. The ending ruined the whole damn thing. Went from a 9-10 to a 7-8. Probably should be a 7 but the two main actors were really great. The casting was pretty good overall really. So 8 it is
There is novelty value in seeing Bonneville and Spall play bad guys for a change, but this convoluted effort isn't worth the effort they put into their roles. It isn't worth your time either, unless you have a thing for silly plot twists and violent murder.
Not bad bit of bad guys/corrupt cops story with a couple of really good twists you don't see coming. Definitely not the best of British movies, but a solid 7/10.
