The Funniest Film Since 54 B.C.
Two Britons—inventor Hengist Pod, and Horse, a brave and cunning fighter—are captured and enslaved by invading Romans and taken to Rome. One of their first encounters in Rome leaves Hengist being mistaken for a fighter, and gets drafted into the Royal Guard to protect Julius Caesar.

A film I always enjoy watching - perfect Sunday afternoon fodder and one of the best from the _Carry On_ series. The humour is camp and silly, with Kenneth Williams and Charles Hawtrey giving particularly terrific performances.
I am sure this was funny in 1964, but today it only got a few chuckles out of me.
Just awful.
