• It does seem a bit strange seeing Chishu Ryo as the brother, not the father of Setsuko Hara, almost like witnessing an elderly person revert to their youth. • In terms of completeness, the story does have flaws, but in terms of pacing, it is indeed perfect – neither too fast nor too slow, much like life itself. • It vividly portrays the post-war baby boom, with a house full of children, undoubtedly quite noisy. • In that era, marrying someone like Setsuko Hara, was truly the dream of every Japanese man.
