When Sara, a young design student from Iowa, arrives for college in Los Angeles, she is eager to fit in and get to know the big city. Her wealthy roommate, Rebecca, is more than eager to take Sara under her wing and show her the ropes. The two become close, but when Sara begins to branch out and make more friends on campus, Rebecca becomes resentful. Alarmed, Sara moves in with her new boyfriend, causing Rebecca's behavior to take a violent turn.

This movie isn't as bad as people are rating it. It's not a classic either, or really different then movies like it in any other kind of way, but it doesn't deserve to be rated like it's a piece of crap either. It's just exactly what you expect it to be, for better or worse.

6.5 ⭐ don’t go into it wanting an oscar worthy film, it’s a fun movie that’s a little cringe but a little exciting too
what a dumb movie... too much melodrama
I have no idea why Netflix is referring this terrible movie to so many people lately but this movie is really lame. Every single thing was ultra cliched, the boyfriend is making a career of being not-James Franco, and the lead actress has one of those squeaky voices that make you want to tear your hair out. Also, way to proliferate fear of the mentally ill. "Oh, schizophrenia, that's why she's so crazy!" Ugh.
