Synopsis
In the mid-20th century, in a forested valley between Italy and Yugoslavia, a stingy widower befriends a young woman and helps her depart across the ocean to find there a better life. A chance encounter gives rise to a dreamy parable on loss, loneliness and the power of imagination.

[Atlántida FF] A film for the senses, beautiful in the aesthetics of poverty, almost tactile in the recreation of sounds and the wooded environment. More than in the story itself, the value of the film is in the visual description, which mixes reality with a kind of poetic reverie. It is the war from the other side, the famine of the borders, the harshness of a place where reaching 70 years is a great achievement.
