Fred is cast as Ebenezer Scrooge in a stage adaption of the classic Christmas story, but is acting a bit stingy in real life.

Hanna-Barbera gets into the holiday spirit with _A Flintstones Christmas Carol_. When Fred is cast as Ebonezer Scrooge in Bedrock’s Christmas play he lets it go to his head and becomes a selfish jerk to everyone, but during the course of the play he comes to see the error of his ways. The Stone Age and Christmas don’t really go together, but that said, the Flintstones actually do a pretty good rendition of _A Christmas Carol_. And it has an interesting meta quality, going in and out of the world of the play. Also, the comedy is fairly well-done with some clever gags (though the rock puns only go so far). Festive and fun, _A Flintstones Christmas Carol_ is a holiday special that the whole family can enjoy.
A corny, yet some-what charming version. With Fred getting so much of an ego after being cast as Scrooge in a play. That he forgets to get presents for others or Pebbles at daycare. Though it gets annoying that Wilma drags out being mad at Fred through the entire thing. Until she decides to accept his 100th apology.
