Huge disappointment.They tried to do something.But everything fails to entertain the viewers.None of the scenes gave goosebumps.Film is boring.If there is something interesting,that's the end credits.Movie isn't so bad,but still its below average.

**Thoroughly entertaining and surprisingly good at balancing everything all at once.**

I'm running through all the DC animated movie universe movies right now, and this one stands out as one of lesser liked ones. It just felt a bit messy. And there's one bit of the ending [spoiler]The Eradicator's involvement in Cyborg Superman's downfall[/spoiler] that just straight up didn't make sense.

"The Death of Superman" was a great film and adaptation of the source material (yes, they changed a few things, but not so much as to drastically alter it beyond recognition). "Reign of the Supermen"...not so much. Part of the problem may be that while the Death of Superman comic storyline was relatively short and concise, the Reign of the Supermen comic storyline was epic in scale with far-reaching consequences for the DC Universe at large. That's pretty hard to cram into an hour and a half, and even with a pretty cool final battle scene, they're not successful at conveying any kind of major or lasting impact. The villains don't feel right either. One comes off as rather whiny, another is just completely ineffective. And characterization in general are rather shallow. We don't get to know these Supermen well enough to really care about what happens to them. While still better than "Superman/Doomsday", "Reign of the Supermen" is still a pretty disappointing follow up to one of the better DC animated movies.

When I read "Reign of the Supermen" I was thinking this movie would be studing the status quo of the Earth now that Superman is gone. But it didn't do that. It decided to go in another direction, which is fine but doesn't work as well. Also, animation was average/fine and the run time needs to be far longer if you really wonna do something with so much characters.
