There is no mistaking that this isn't a mainstream sci-fi film but a very experimental arthouse film. I suppose one could try to put together what is a cavalcade of cut scenes into a coherent narrative so the film stands the right way up. But that would destroy the intent of the film, which is to show what it would be like to experience your life from the third person minus your subjective desires. The affect is mesmerising and ultimately quite sad to watch as the protagonist is humbled to his core by time and nature.
Its stretch to call this a time travel film. Its basically someone reliving their memories. It was engaging enough and was not the emotional art house gutpunch it was supposed to be i guess. not great.
