Kathrine Hepburn plays Queen Hecuba in a film from the director of Electra, Zorba the Greek and Iphogenia. And in all honesty it's not that great. I assume its another adaptation of a Greek tragedy. But it doesn't really work. It's never as engaging as it should be and the characters are fairly one dimensional. Visually it's good, without being great. Hepburn gives a great performance as usual.and she is the high point of the film. But overall its a bit dull. I still like Michael Cacoyannis though and look forward to checking out Electra soon.
