Had she vanished into thin air...Or was she never really there?
On the eve of World War II, zany heiress Amanda Kelly travels by train to Switzerland. While passing through Germany, she meets a sweet elderly lady, who suddenly vanishes. Distraught, she questions her fellow passengers who claim that the woman was never there. Unsure if it's all in her mind or if there's a more sinister plot afoot, Amanda teams up with photographer Robert Condon to discover the truth.

Well after realising this wasn't the original (don't blame me I saw the word Hitchcock in the listings) it was going to be uphill. Then seeing the original have a great score on here, the remake not so much. My heart sank a little more. Never seeing the original to be fair this feels more like a comedy version - quite enjoyable but I can't help but imagine the Hitchcock original is more suspenseful and dramatic. All it means is another film added to the 'to watch' list.
This movie was a disappointment from beginning to end. If nothing else, it needed to either be more of a thriller or more of a comedy. Shepherd is barely a competent actress on a good day, and she surely couldn't life this mediocre script. follow me at https://IHATEbadMovies.com or facebook IHATEBadMovies
