In the 1980s one partnership saved thousands of lives
Sudan, East Africa, 1980. A team of Israeli Mossad agents plans to rescue and transfer thousands of Ethiopian Jews to Israel. To do so, and to avoid raising suspicions from the inquisitive and ruthless authorities, they establish as a cover a fake diving resort by the Red Sea.

Very good movie, inspired by an incredible true story that is unknown to the majority of people, I believe. It was at least to me and I thought the story was told in a very good way so that after having seen the film one has a good idea of what happened back then.
Was pretty stoked for this after seeing Raffs excellent miniseries The Spy but this turned out to be a huge disappointment. What they had was a spectacular true story, one of the most amazing undercover operations of all time, the potential for a movie script was practically limitless. They took that and watered it down through the Hollywood-o-mizer set to 11 again and again until all that was left was this crap and then cast Captain America in the lead to pretty much play Captain America. A complete mess.
How realistic this film is to the real events I don't know. While I enjoyed it, I felt it needed to focus less on Hollywood heroics and more on the Ethiopian plight. Still, any film that brings the subject matter to the screen should be commended, but how about a do-over that delves more deeply into the political situation in Sudan?
Not interesting in any way
