Fantastic plot involving these two fresh out of police academy/school guys that out of nowhere are engaged into a radical altering live event witnessing a kidnapping, situation that will test both of their abilities in this exciting action, comedy and serious undertone movie.

Well DAMN, I did not expect that. That ranks pretty high up there among my favourite movies of the year. :D Fantastic stuff, well acted with a lot of heart, many laughs and your usual korean dose of action and drama. Highly recommended!

What are we doing here? It's a really odd, conflicting mismatch of tones. On the one hand this just feels like a dumbed down version of _21 Jump Street_. The comedy and acting styles are not my thing, it's really corny and completely lacking an interesting take on this type of material. It feels like the same formulaic, disposable crap you get multiple times every summer from Hollywood, made for that Kevin Hart/Dwayne Johnson type of crowd. However, there are also some moments where the movie gets dark and becomes something more closely aligned to a David Fincher thriller. These brief thrills and moments of action are pretty well executed, however to me they don't come together in the grand scheme of things. The music is manipulative and lame, the cinematography ... is actually pretty good ngl, Korean movies rarely miss in that regard. Overall, it's is a total mess, but not an uninteresting one. 4.5/10
