The ending is so unconventional I loved it. He didn't bet to win. btw, the Safdie brothers ripped off this film.

Pretty good film. Sadly, I watched the remake before I saw this. This is clearly better than the remake! Pretty good job by James Caan. I wasn't a fan of the ending though
