Memories of Lives Lived
A mosaic of stories about love and loss, exploring our relationship to the objects, artifacts, and memories that shape our lives.
Avis de la communauté (1)
The film plays with interesting themes - the way we hold onto objects for nostalgic purposes; grief; the inability to let go of the past; feelings of emptiness without constant reminders of times, places, and people that mean something to us - but while I applaud the film for trying to create sense of of all of these things, the film is only partially successful. It never coheres into a narrative whole, and it meanders too much to fully engage. Still, the filmmakers should be congratulated for trying to create something different - perhaps something lyrical and poetic - but they may have bitten off more than they can chew.
