Synopsis
In 19th century France, Jean Valjean, a man imprisoned for stealing bread, must flee a relentless policeman named Javert. The pursuit consumes both men's lives, and soon Valjean finds himself in the midst of the student revolutions in France.

All the actors give us an irreproachable act, it sometimes oscillates between a play and a movie. The film had several awards; César for best supporting role for Jean Carmet, Ventura was nominated for the César for best actor, Edmond Richard nomination for the César for best cinematography, Robert Hossein nomination for the César for best original screenplay/adaptation.
