Probably one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Stephen should've directed this sequel 'cause this director ruined it. Disaster starts from the beginning with the amounts of unnecessary cheap CGI, change of actors, bad acting, boring story and NOT funny at all.

It has an awkward beginning that diagnose for a bad movie, but it actually gets better. The beginning tries to be Stephen Chow, but that's just a proof that as silly as Chow movies look, it takes an especial skill to achieve such silliness. The change of actors can be a bit distracting, but once you get used to it, you realized is for the best, at least when it comes to Sun Wukong, Zhi Bajie and Sha Wujing. I must say I actually LOVE what they did with Zhi Bajie. The look of his face that looks a lot like a face, but a lot like a mask looks amazing. Is not as fun as the first, but is still a fun saying of the Journey to the West story. The costume design is absolutely amazing.
