The original title of the film is Mindenki.
[YouTube] The metaphor of communist oppression in Hungary fits perfectly into a story of injustice and appearances. The choir director's authoritarianism, inspired by the disguised cruelty of Nurse Ratched in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (1975), works in a context of oppression, despite an ending that is as predictable as it is liberating.
