Synopsis
An unexpected blizzard threatens the Parton family, while at the same time Dolly's father (and his kids) make sacrifices to raise enough money to finally buy his wife the wedding ring he could never afford to give her. Meanwhile, an important person in little Dolly's life begins to see that her amazing voice and musical gift might just be made for something bigger than rural Tennessee.

This is a great movie to watch,one for the family and a great second movie after Dolly Parton Coat of Many Colours....

An unexpected treat. Not the most polished bit of cinema, but it has an abundance of heart, much like Dolly herself. Not to underestimate Dolly, her songs reflect depth and a wealth of storytelling. I give this film a 7 (good) out of 10. It alluded to a previous movie, so that was what I watched next, but I can't leave without commenting on the talent of Jennifer Nettles. What a treat to hear the tonal purity of her voice when she sings the signature song a cappella. What a voice. And, she can act!
