I can't speak on the historical accuracy, as I'm no expert on the subject matter, but some facts, like Britain's colonial involvement, are undeniable. Since the creation of Pakistan in 1947, the Kashmir region has been at the centre of a persistent conflict between India and Pakistan. Earlier this year, tensions nearly escalated into full-scale war. The convoluted story, both on screen and in reality, is fascinating and inspiring yet extremely heartbreaking and tragic.
