Synopsis
Martin is a total loser, who nobody cares for. When he fails to get a position as guitar player in Lindsay's band and loses his job on the way, he makes a deal with a Voodoo priestess. She promises him the fulfillment of all his dreams if he swears obedience to her. He becomes a rock star and has many women - but to stay alive, he has to kill other people.

A surprisingly-good, low-budget horror movie. _Shock 'em Dead_ follows a long line of supernatural horror: the be careful what you wish for story. Doesn't matter if the source is a monkey's paw, an evil djinn or the Devil Himself, you know what to expect. We follow Martin, a dweeb who wants to be a rockstar. After making a deal with an old voodoo lady, he gets his wish. The movie is shockingly well written, with good acting - including Traci Lords, in her prime. Even though this is a horror movie, it does keep a self-aware tone, and has a few jokes. If you're a fan of late '80s/early '90s horror, check it out.
