Real Steel was awesome. Chock-full of cliches and flaws but who the hell cares, it's about goddamn boxing robots, if you don't love this movie, you don't know how to have fun.
I watched it with my 11 y/o and it is flawed but better than I expected. He really got in to it and I know at that age I would have too. What kid doesn't want to watch a kid with a fighting robot. At just over 2 hours long I thought he may have wained in the middle but it kept his attention the whole way. But as an adult it's hard not to see where it is shabby around the edges. I wouldn't have rushed to have watched it on my own. As mentioned Dakota Goyo is fantastic. @outspoken right on, I thought that too.
Good fun movie to rent. I didn't love it, but I also didn't hate it either.
Good fun, better than I expected.
I watched it a long time ago. It came out in 2011 and I watched it in 2013 or 2014. It is a production that I liked very much and I think it can be among the best films of that time. Even though all these years have passed, I still remember its scenes. It may be one of the first productions of this kind that I watched. If you haven't watched it, you should definitely watch it, but if you are going to evaluate it, it would be more logical to evaluate it according to the year it was released at least. I added it to my favorites. Thanks for your efforts.
