Synopsis
Warren Maxwell, the owner of a run-down plantation, pressures his son, Hammond, to marry and produce an heir to inherit the plantation. Hammond settles on his own cousin, Blanche, but purchases a sex slave when he returns from the honeymoon. He also buys his father a new Mandingo slave named Mede to breed and train as a prize-fighter.

Surprisingly a good cinematic for the 70's, for me anyway. Historical movies like this usually make me mad. The wife, boy oh. Was unsure if he poisoned her, low key hoped he did. Stark reality of the slave era.

Warren killing Mede without a proper explanation just shows that he didn’t really care for him as a human! This movie is so sad in so many ways
