The movie was alright. I thought it was going to be more of a drama, but it had quite a bit of exciting action. Better than I expected. I watched the English dubbed version. In the film, there's supposed to a language barrier between the Chinese and Japanese characters, but it's all dubbed into English, which was confusing.
It is a visually interesting movie with a great cast, however the plot is dragged endlessly into silly conflict, to the point it becomes hard to stay focused. The comedy routines are alright though, I really do not think they were the worst part.
I found it awful, not a glimpse of comedy, action and coherent story. Avoid it at all costs
A weird mix of slapstick and more serious notes that didn't go all too well with me, some shoddy editing in places, some CGI that could've needed a few Yuan more in the budget and parts of the soundtrack that sounded like they were recorded in a bathtub. But overall probably not the worst chinese movie in recent times, enjoyable if you don't expect some Jackie Chan masterpiece of which there are pretty much non these days.
