A Korean horror film about an adopted young boy with a strange link to an old, dead acacia tree. As the boy settles in to his new home, the tree comes to life. When the family who adopted him becomes pregnant, he is to go back to the orphanage, and horror ensues.

At times a tad slow but never unbearably so. The neat cinematic weaving in the last act makes up for it. Good atmosphere, great unraveling. Dunno why but I get a vibe of Argento, or maybe it's giallo in general, though set in aesthetics and culture on the other side of the world. Also very nice artwork in the background throughout the entire movie.
Solidly creepy mind-fuck of a film; it seems lost to time because it’s more psychological than extreme.
