Synopsis
Bobby Stano had everything going for him. Fresh out of high school, he was signed to the majors, had a beautiful girlfriend, everything was looking up. That is, until he and his friends get into a fight with a neighboring gang. The confrontation results in an accidental fatality and quickly changes Bobby's life forever. He's found guilty of murder and locked in prison for the next thirteen years. When Bobby is released, he's faced with a vilified reputation, a relationship to rekindle and a new life to find.

It had been about 6 or 7 years since I’d seen this movie. I hardly remembered ever watching it but it seemed familiar enough. This is my type of underdog and redemption sports story. I’ll always love baseball movies and especially ones where a character has a redemption arc. I like Joe Manganiello enough but he never struck me as a baseball player. I enjoyed the bit of romance sprinkled in. The story is cliché and a bit predictable but it’s still enjoyable. I was happy to give this one a revisit.

I think the date is wrong as this movie is new. Possibly 2019 instead of 2017?
