It’s not as bad as everybody makes it out to be. Although there’s a few weak spots it did keep my interest. The movie seems to be more about a gay family members acceptance issue, so maybe a little bit more action or cop drama to play against a serious topic would’ve helped. In the end if your a Robert Duval fan it’s worth a watch.
you cant beat robert duvall. josh hartnett pretty good as well
The many bad reviews I've read still haven't prepared me for how bad this movie was.
I have to admit my expectations were low based on what I had heard about this movie. Well, while it is no classic, it held my attention throughout. Tonally its all over the place, but Duvall commands the screen as an actor. While not perfect, it is still a film I would happily recommend.
Poor movie and totally forgettable.
