I am a big fan of tv sitcom The Middle, so was keen to see what Eden Sher did next. Her character is very similar to Sue Heck from the aforementioned show, but that wasn't a problem. The film on the other hand was a tad predictable. A couple of genuine laugh out loud moments, but there is nothing new to see here. Still, for the target audience, this will possibly rank higher.

Familiar actresses drew me to it, all my favourite cultural touchstones kept me watching. It may not be the best movie, but if you like Tina Fey, Veronica Mars and Star Wars, at least you get a shout-out!
