One hell of a fun! I can't not laugh at this. It's not as good as its sibling, Blood for Dracula, however, still a brilliantly absurd and delightfully deranged re-telling of Frankenstein. There's not much to delve into here beyond the sheer insanity of this whole project. It's over-the-top in every imaginable way. There's so much funny dialogue and bizarre acting choices throughout and the violence is ratcheted up quite a bit. Although Udo's performance in BfD is far superior, his take on the mad scientist is still brilliant and he chews the scenery in every take. Joe Dallesandro's character is still unmatched in pure shock value and depravity. Go in with a trashy mindset and there’s lots of fun to be had.
Probably the horniest Frankenstein movie I've ever seen. Weird, erotic, gory, funny. This plays out very much like any other period-piece, gothic horror movie from the '70s, although this one is not afraid to cross lines that even Hammer wouldn't dare. The story is pretty simple: Doctor Frankenstein lives in a castle with his sister/wife, and their two children. He is striving to create an undead Adam and Eve of sorts. Don't think too hard about it. Look, if you take the movie seriously, you're not going to have a good time. I'd recommend this to fans of _Blood for Dracula_ (1974). It's entertaining enough, though very light on plot. If you're down with nudity, dark humor, gore, and necrophilia, you'll be very pleased.
complete and utter garbage, a waste of 90 minutes
What the hell was that? Such a strange take on Frankenstein. Can’t say I’ll be recommending this flick to my friends.
