Abbott and Costello team-up with Boris Karloff once again for the monster comedy _Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde_. The story follows two American policemen who are visiting London as they attempt to prove themselves to Scotland Yard by finding the monster that’s been terrorizing the city. Karloff gives a strong performance and makes for a good villain, and the monster makeup is quite impressive. However, the writing is rather weak and loses track of the different story threads. Also, some of the jokes fall flat and break up the momentum of the film. Still, while it has its problems, _Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde_ is entertaining and delivers plenty of laughs as well as thrills.

In this series of "Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet..." films, this was not one of their best, but it was still a better-than-average film that showed why this formula was so popular for them.
