Carmichael has an easy and endearing charisma, like a friend just talking shit with you, but you can see a lot of growing pains. Lots of it hasn’t aged well, many punchlines flounder, he’s trying too hard to be edgy and disaffected. But that charm carries him through, and there are glimpses of future greatness.
