Pelts is the second episode of Masters of Horror that Argento directed, and man… What an episode it is. It’s, IMO of course, the best episode of the entire series, AND some of the absolute best Argento has done AFTER Opera. We got a lot of the lighting and colour our man Argento are known for, and both the tension and gore are excellent throughout. Both Meat Loaf and John Saxon does some excellent work in this, and most of the other actors are decent as well. I really like Pelts, and when anyone rants about how far Argento has fallen, I recommend the crap out of this.
The plot was not that intriguing, special raccoons that whoever caresses their pelts ends up killing themselves in over the top ways. The gore effects were top notch but that’s about it.
