This is a surprisingly well written film. I feel like the writer put so much in but it was badly executed when committed to film.
the dad is a sucker so is mark ruffalo lmfao
The first and only time I seen this was in the theater. At least I don’t think I’ve seen it since then. We always went to theater as a family back then. This is a pretty flawed movie with extremely flawed characters. I really like the dad played by Richard Jenkins. Mark Ruffalo’s character was likable. Shirley MacLaine was hilarious. Honestly the cast is stellar in this. It’s pretty funny and has a pretty wild concept. It was a fun rewatch even though it’s not great.
Just weird man. On top of that the story and writing was just ass anyways
For a movie with this wild of a twist - a three-generation affair linked to a classic film - it shouldn't be as utterly forgettable as it is, ultimately collapsing into a messy and unconvincing love triangle that wastes a talented cast.
