A light-hearted tale of a young boy finding his people and place in a remote village. Filled with scenic landscapes, humor in everyday things and grand poetic moments that sneak up on you while you let your guard down. Wood Job did a good job in capturing the festive mood and a big family this different lifestyle has to offer unlike the contemporary one.
there are some light flaws to this movie but the good more than makes up for it. i often found myself watching with a big grin on my face the whole way. i feel like it would have been better as a series. while its not short with a decent 2hrs length, there is more than enough paths that could have been their own 1hr episodes the least. something like that would have fleshed out more out of everyone i felt like. overall a great watch that can be visited back to when you want something wholesome again.
