The Hoff stars as _Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD_ in this amazingly awful piece of garbage. The plot is ludicrous and the actors chew up the scenery. The sets and costumes look dirt cheap, and the directing is boring and one-dimensional. One of the most embarrassing things to ever come out of Marvel, _Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD_ is everything that is wrong with low budget sci-fi.
it aged so bad it hurt...
Tbh, I didn’t have high hopes for a made-for-TV pilot movie, but it wasn’t that bad. It’s still a bad movie, but I enjoyed every minute of it. It wasn’t as boring as Captain America (1990), for example. TL;DR: It’s kind of a bad movie, but the plot and acting are far from boring. It’s bad, but kind of okay at the same time. Actually, I couldn’t stand Sandra Hess’s acting as Viper. She was trying so hard to fit the character, but she failed. Another remarkable thing about these old movies is that the female cast was amazing. From Lea Thompson in Howard T. Duck (1986), to Francesca Neri in Captain America (1990), to Lisa Rinna in Nick Fury (1998), they were all gorgeous.
I'm old enough to remember the first bunch of Marvel movies. And this has to be the worst of them. Hasselhoff made a career out of cheesy overacting, so if you enjoy that, plus a bit of arrogant misogyny, this could be exactly what you need
