I have really mixed feelings about Belushi's performance in this movie. I generally love to see comedic actors playing dramatic roles (and lets not kid ourselves - this movie isn't really a comedy), but I thought he was fairly mediocre here. It doesn't help that he rarely speaks more than one line at a time. He brings a childish vulnerability to the film, and Blair Brown (who is by FAR the best thing about the movie) plays off of it.
