He doesn't make sense. She doesn't make sense. Together they make sense.
Caroline, a young waitress who seems to have bad taste in men, is on her way home one night when thugs attempt to rape her. Adam, the mysterious busboy who works at the same diner, helps fight off the assailants, and she begins a relationship with him -- but not all their fellow Minnesotans are happy for them. Meanwhile, the couple face their own difficulties when Caroline finds about Adam's past, including his unique health condition.

A sick orphan wins over a beautiful waitress.
great romantic movie, broke my heart. why do we have to struggle in life? so many people loose their most loved ones. i feel like the older i get the more sensitive and confused i get with life. definitely recommend to people who believe in true love. great chemistry between the main characters.

Oh it's a sappy one. There are some engaging bits and moments of sweetness, but I fear a lot of it is just going to be deemed "problematic" by a modern audience. Which will make them less accepting of the more storybook elements. But this is peak era Slater and Tomei and I would watch them in anything.
A little sickly sweet with some unrealistic sentiment, but it's a sweet romance movie with a lot of heart (No pun intended).
