You could call Oren Little 'charming' — except no one does.
Nobody likes self-centered realtor Oren Little, and he prefers it that way. He's deliberately mean to anyone who crosses his path and wants nothing more than to sell one final house and retire. His life turns upside-down when his estranged son drops off a granddaughter he never knew existed. Suddenly left in charge of her and with no idea how to take care of a child, he pawns the girl off on his neighbor, Leah -- but he eventually learns how to open his heart.

Good acting (is there anything else to expect from two acting veterans?), but the story is totally transparent, making it a rather boring movie from the beginning to the end. Nice if you have nothing better to do and want to watch some tele, but not worth the money for the cinema ticket...
From director Rob Reiner comes the lighthearted, off-beat comedy And So It Goes. The story follows a curmudgeonly real estate agent named Oren Little who’s forced to take in his estranged granddaughter when his son is sent to prison. Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton are fairly good, but it’s newcomer Sterling Jerins who really shines and gives the film its heart. Additionally, Reiner does a nice job at creating some touching character moments. However, the plot’s rather trite and clichéd; following the usual stereotypes of an old man reforming is ways. And So It Goes is a bit of fun, but overall it a formulaic film that plays it safe.
65% seems about right. OK story with interesting enough characters, bumped by the experience of veteran actors.
Not by any stretch of the imagination a great film, And So It Goes is nevertheless a mostly enjoyable watch.
