The psychic comedy that's out of its mind.
Medium Sylvia Pickel and psychometrist Nick Deezy meet at a psychic research facility in New York. Not long after, they're contacted by Harry Buscafusco, who offers them $50,000 to find his lost son in South America, in the heart of Incan territory where they discover an ancient mystical secret, and each other.

Cool character actors like Michael Lerner and Peter Falk pop up, and some of the camerawork was decent. Otherwise this was a very cheesy 80s movie that thinks it is much funnier than it is. If the lead wasn't Jeff Goldblum, maybe it would have been rectified, but he is just detestable here, so smarmy. The story wasn't all bad but: Awful effects. Cheap sets. Incredibly dated, just in general. Stinks on ice.
Nick: “Maybe I’ll quit!” Boss: “Quit? Well that’s a fine howdy-do!”
Adventure in a pre-Columbian pyramid.
You know, it's a fun little movie. Made me chuckle a few times. Has some Indiana Jones DNA. It definitely has a B-movie feeling to it, with a kinda hokey plot, characters and acting. But for a small evening of relaxing fun - not bad. Perfect if you're playing a game or something on the side.
