Fate can be a lousy lover
Frankie is an emotional train wreck, careening around the East Los Angeles music scene drinking and meeting strangers. Lev is a taciturn and tormented soul. He drives a limo and wants to work in the music business. They begin a relationship after they connect with each other one night at a party.

The relationship in this movie is a messy one. Both characters are flawed, and you don't have to look too hard to find the flaws. The film does not dwell on the flaws, nor does it seem to want the viewer to spend time on them. Instead, we get an honest portrayal of two people trying to make it work. They aren't indignant about what they need or what they deserve. To paraphrase Steve Martin's character in L.A. Story, they find love even though they need a pickaxe to find it. I thought it was a beautiful story. It may have gone on one scene too long, but that is purely subjective. follow me at https://IHATEBadMovies.com or facebook IHATEBadMovies
